I have worked for nearly 20 years as a professor in Tax and Commercial Law in the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki Finland in the department of Commercial Law.

Education

I hold two PhDs; one in law and one in economics. I am Doctor of Law (PhD Tax Law) and Doctor of Economics, national economics.

Tax consulting

I have practiced as an independent tax consultant and income tax specialist in my own company Sisufinanssi Ky serving tens of small and medium size companies and family-owned businesses and their owners. My expertise is in the small-business income tax matters and giving advice in the tax related questions for the owner-entrepreneurs.

I also consult attorneys and law offices, and work with other tax consultants and accounting firms.

Publications, training and lectures

I have written several principal publications, textbooks and scientific articles in the area of income tax law in Finland. My publications specialize mainly on small and medium size company taxation questions. I train in currently trending tax matters in cooperation with Finnish business and legal training organizations. I lecture as a regular guest speaker in tax events and in seminars for entrepreneurs.

Professional interests

I have participated for nearly 20 years in the Nordic Tax Research Council (NSFR) as a professor representative from Finland.

Work languages

I provide tax consulting services in three languages: in Finnish, Swedish and English. My native language is Finnish. I work fluently also in Swedish and English as they are my work languages at Hanken School of Economics.

My hobbies

I love spending time at the summer house in Eastern Finland by lake Saimaa. Classic old American cars are my passion and a very beloved hobby.
